The Death and Life of Bobby Z plot
"To live a life of his own, he has to die first."
Tim Kearney is an ex-Marine who has ended up in prison. He is offered a deal by DEA agent Tad Gruzsa that will allow him to be released early. The deal involves Kearney posing as the recently deceased drug dealer Bobby Z and getting involved in a hostage swap with a major criminal. However, the plan falls through and Kearney is forced to flee with Z's 11-year-old son.

Reasonable film in which an inmate gets a deal to pose as a deceased drug dealer. A fairly standard action film, which certainly does not rely on originality. But it does look easy. A brisk pace, nice action scenes and a charismatic cast.

On the one hand, the film looks easy, on the other hand, the film felt like it lasted much longer than the 97 playing minutes.
