Voices of Bam plot
On Friday, December 26, 2003, a major earthquake occurred in southeastern Iran. Tens of thousands of people were buried under the rubble and died. The epicenter was in the city of Bam, known for its ancient citadel Arg-i-Bam and a scorching desert climate. The documentary is set one year after the disaster. The inhabitants have picked up again, living among the shards of their former existence. Almost everyone in town has lost someone. Rumpled family photos, emerging from the dusty ruins, recall the void left by a relative or friend. The film observes various residents and families during their daily worries.
