Bob Randolph (Ronald Reagan) is world famous for his paintings of the 'Randolph Girl'. What the world doesn't know, though, is that this dazzling beauty is a compilation of body parts from up to 12 different models. If the artist has to present her, he has to search diligently for a lady who meets these requirements. Bob and his advertising executive Chuck Donovan (Eddie Bracken) convince Ruth Wilson to take this place. Ruth (Virginia Mayo) is a school teacher and wishes to be admired for her brains, not her figure. When a photo of her in a bathing suit is published, she is fired by the conservative headmaster and sues Bob and Chuck for the goings-on.
