Very bizarre filmed. Stephen King's book wasn't bad. He has worked out crazy ideas very well before: killer trucks, a dangerous clown in it, children who slaughter their parents between the corn in children of the corn, .... But like many other film versions, a lot is lost when it appears on screen. You are carried away in the book of Trucks, but it is very strange to see this as a film. Nevertheless, not that bad, just a bit predictable and unbelievable. Filmed in 1997, but seems to be a lot older due to the lack of quality. Only for fans of the genre.

Quite entertaining remake of Maximum Overdrive (1986), but at the same time it has to acknowledge its superiority in the original.

One of the biggest drawbacks of Trucks is that hideous 90's video look, including bad dubbing. The acting of the entire cast is mediocre and the characters are rather boring (although Maximum Overdrive didn't have to rely on that either). What it also lacks are those memorable scenes that Maximum Overdrive did have (opening scene with the bridge, a money machine that curses a man, a steamroller that hits achild). On the other hand, there is an absolutely brilliant scene in which a dorky mailman, with the thinking power of the AI from an outdated game, is harassed by a toy truck, and then hilariously murdered by the toy. I've rarely laughed so hard as at this scene. Also worth watching is the scene where a hazmat suitcomes to life and starts killingwith an axe.

A bit less than pulpfest Maximum Overdrive, but even this Trucks has its moments. Some hilarious scenes (which can't be meant seriously), and those self-driving, old, rusty, smoking trucks always have something cool.

And after a long time finally a Stephen King with these tricks that I had no further knowledge of, but that this concerns a copy/remake of Maximum Overdrive was obvious. As Film Pegasus already says, it is a pity that the generally good stories and books of King are not destined for a better fate on TV or film. Because the basis, the stories and narration of King, is often not the problem.

Well, where to start with this film that actually has no good points, unless it is the denouement that is quite funny and especially the beautiful Brendda Bakke that we mainly know from the second Hot Shots part. But apart from that the acting is shockingly bad, just like the characters, the excruciatingly bad soundtrack leads to headaches from the first minute and moments like the postman and the toy dump truck, and that man from the electricity grid in his box, are just so bad that it is more lamely funny than horror or scary. In other words, bad, bad and more bad. It will not be the worst thing I have ever seen but it does not get a good grade.
