1942. Two suspected French refugees, Boris and Laura, are arrested in Salazar, Portugal. Inspector Vargas is seduced by the young woman and decides to hide them in his house: an abandoned hotel where he lives with his daughter Ilda and his seriously ill wife. Incoherent film about a rebellious teenager, who on the one hand has to care for her seriously ill mother and on the other hand discovers that her corrupt father is hiding French refugees in neutral Portugal during the Second World War. I couldn't make chocolate out of it.
