Slow as hell...

It is sometimes quite painful to watch how long scenes are stretched. Especially the scene in which the blonde model is dragged below deck starts quite well, but after almost five minutes the moaning and begging gets on the nerves.

The ghost ship and the Blind Dead are quite scary, but the story is so thin that the makers have to stretch the running time with failed escape attempts and even a completely unnecessary rape scene. Fortunately, in the end it becomes just as fun when a plan that seems doomed to failure (driving back the blind Templars with an improvised cross) actually succeeds and we get to see how the survivors make hilarious fake coffins throw overboard.

The end of the film, when the Blind Dead rise from the water and surround the almost sunbathing survivors, is also a nice ending. But otherwise this is quite sleep-inducing, and that makes Ghost Ships the least part of the Blind Dead series.

This third part is worth it because of the few atmospheric moments with our slow zombies. Unfortunately, they don't get the full potential out of this film compared to the 2 previous parts. So it is less of a brother. Even if you have not seen the previous two parts - which is not necessary to follow the story - this should be noticeable.

The decor with the misty ghost ship is otherwise perfectly fine. To be completely honest, this movie gave me Scooby-Doo vibes And it remains entertaining.

The film is the third installment in Amando de Ossorio's "Blind Dead" series. This sequel also takes a different route in terms of location because it is now set on an old ghost ship floating around on the sea. Although the road to get there is quite long in terms of design, because you are presented with a bland modeling world in which two gentlemen want to do something unique in the field of advertising, which ultimately causes them to sail at sea to rescue two models. The location on the ship is in any case much less atmospheric compared to the ruins, but it is also clearly less in terms of gore. While previous parts made some room for quite a bit of nudity, there is none to be seen here. And there are also negative points such as the boat being on fire. You may have a limited budget, but this was very clear that it was a model. What was also not appreciated was the final scene where the Templars simply emerge from the sea at dawn. Considering the previous parts and the background of the Templars, this is completely illogical. 5/10
