Bosque de Sombras plot
Summer of 1978, the hottest summer in a long time. Norman (Paddy Considine) and Lucy (Virginie Ledoyen) go through a rough patch in their relationship and decide to spend their vacation in the holiday home bought by their friends Paul (Gary Oldman) and Isabel (Aitana Sánchez Gijón) in North -Spain. Far from London, here in the middle of the forest in the Basque Country, they hoped for a wonderful quiet holiday, for which the house is ideal. But this peace and tranquility is suddenly broken when they discover a girl with terribly deformed hands, hidden in a wooden cottage in the woods. However, the overly anxious girl is too scared to talk and so the couple decide to take her to the police. But their efforts to help the girl are constantly hampered by the density of the forest, as well as by a group of local villagers who apparently intend to leave the girl's cruel condition unchanged.
