A political leader of the city is criticized by a journalist, after which he loses his job at the newspaper. The politician's daughter will take over his column. As a goodbye, the journalist writes a spicy piece in the newspaper, which causes friction between him and the daughter. Yet he is the very man who saves her from a fire at her father's paper mill.
