The Single Standard plot
A young free-spirited woman in San Francisco breaks with all conventions and begins an affair with an artist, with whom she goes on a boat trip. But he soon breaks off the relationship. She returns and marries another man. When she meets her ex-boyfriend again, she falls in love with him again.
