David Taylor, a young singer, is the star of the R&B scene. He has turned away from his family, who are Christian leaders in the church of a southern town. When David learns that his father, the priest, is dying, he travels south. Once he arrives, he notices that his former rival Frank Taylor wants to take over his father's position and that he is married to David's niece.
