Yuko is 35 years old, single, unemployed and on the drugs her psychiatrist gives her to fight her manic depression. She lives in Kamata Town and divides her time between several male friends who all have their own idiosyncrasies. Her college classmate, Homma, suffers from impotence. "K", whom she knows over the Internet, is a self-admitted pervert. There's also a young mobster, Yasuda, a fellow manic-depressive. Her cousin, Shoichi, has left his family to go after his mistress, who then kicks him out. Yuko always creates a different character for herself (and a different life story) depending on who she's talking to at the time. Human contact is just as important to her as it is to others, however her condition makes it difficult for others to feel a kinship with her for as long as she wants.
