Daddy-Long-Legs plot
Orphaned girl Jerusha (Judy) Abbott has a difficult childhood at the orphanage, until a mysterious benefactor takes care of her. This benefactor, the wealthy Jervis Pendleton, secretly funds her studies. After graduating from school, Judy has become the epitome of a young lady. Jervis Pendleton falls in love with her and she with him, unaware that he is her former benefactor. This is the first film adaptation of the well-known book by Jean Webster.
