No... with the best will in the world I can't call this a good movie.

Very bad dialogues. Not a cinematic tour de force either. A storyline that is too simple for words. Indian is treated unfairly (doesn't get whiskey)... shoots Sherff... is wanted throughout the film... (and outsmarts everyone... oh well...).

Add to that the stereotypical, outdated, and even somewhat embarrassing Indianness portrayed by Bronson; It doesn't get any better than that. On the contrary.

This film has not stood the test of time, unless you like pulp.

Sorry folks... a measly 1.0 *

Well-proportioned portrait of the situation after the Civil War and the racist ideas of the "Southern" who lost this war. In this case it concerns an Indian/half-breed who, despite bad weather, has an entire posse following him. However, the posse consists of too many diverse characters, with or without personality disorders, who then run rampant in a way that the KKK took over until well into the 20th century. However, knowledge of nature and the landscape plays the most important factor. The philosophical undertone of man and his actions in combination with the "higher power" is used here excellently.
