When the star Gary Mitchell announces that he wants to break his contract with radio boss Felix Hofer, music agent Doug Blake has to search for new singing talent. In New York he finds the attractive Martha Gibson and all hopes are focused on her. However, Hofer can't decide whether to hire Martha and a long period of waiting begins. Meanwhile, Doug falls in love with Martha.
