"A terror that gets under your skin"
Host is a quiet rural town in Montana where everyone knows each other and where everyone works for the same meat processing company. Veterinarian Eli Rudkus moves in when the old vet retires. He visits rancher Jacob Long, where he discovers a secret that could destroy the town. Fletcher Odermatt, the owner of the meat processing company, wants to keep the problem a secret at all costs. He even hires attorney Hayley Anderson to blackmail Eli. It seems to be a simple parasite, but it gets horribly out of hand. Eli, Jacob and Hayley race against time to save the town, and perhaps the entire world, from destruction.
