mr. Borden is a millionaire who feels neglected by his family. His wife Martha, daughter Katherine and son Tim ignore him and forget his birthday. Lonely and depressed, he meets Mary in Central Park, a young woman who is unemployed yet full of zest for life. He invites her to a fancy restaurant to celebrate his birthday. Because of her zest for life, he hires her to get rid of the deadly atmosphere from him.
