My Daughter Must Live plot

Ragen and Hugh, along with their daughter Katie, make the perfect family. However, Katie's dance teacher notes that the young teen has not been well lately, and not much later, Katie is hospitalized. In fact, she's getting so bad that she needs a liver transplant to survive. After some tests it appears that both parents cannot be donors, but also that Hugh is not Katie's biological father. Ragen is now obliged to confess her secret. She searches for Katie's real father and eventually finds her ex-lover Dan. What she doesn't know is that Dan fled sixteen years ago because he ended up in a bad environment. Those same people don't want Dan to return to Ragen and do everything they can to keep him away from his daughter. But Ragen is willing to go to any lengths to save her daughter.
