What a low score here, I say! Very strange, because Metamorphosis is a very nice monster movie. Delicious gore effects and delicious bad acting. Really a movie that works perfectly with some friends on a Saturday night.

3.5*

Fun fact: this was originally supposed to be the sequel to The Deadly Spawn (1983) , but it evolved into a standalone work. Very cool.

Completely agree with Stephan further. I am very curious what people expect with this kind of work. The acting is to cry, but those who come for the better mutation and tentacle work, will not find it better in the 90's. Fantastic effects... and plenty of it! Even the stop-motion towards the end works well. It drags on a bit too long towards the finale, but those who can concentrate on the craftsmanship in the creature design will have a very good time.

Lost gem, would have definitely attracted more viewers if it had been called Deadly Spawn 2: Alien Factor Maybe this is something for Insignificance ?

This horror film, even though it's from 1990, seems more like something from the early 80s to me, given the execution, the monster, the effects and the music. The gore is pretty good and the monster may look laughably awful, but somehow it manages to come across as acceptable. Especially his tentacles are fun. 6/10
