Meghe Dhaka Tara plot

A family of reasonable descent flees East Pakistan and ends up in the slums of Calcutta. The daughter of the family, Nita, tries everything to improve the situation of the family. For that she sacrifices her personal happiness, her money and eventually even her health. However, she receives little recognition and appreciation in return.
