Tokugawa Onna Keibatsu-Shi plot

The film consists of three stories. The first story is about a woman who has an affair with her brother. She is arrested and put to death in a gruesome manner. The second story is set in a nunnery, where jealousy turns into torture. And in the final story, a tattoo artist goes to great lengths to make his latest "work of art" as terrifying as possible.

A film that gives free rein to wild fantasies of torture in a medieval Japan setting. It was primarily the women who received this honor in this film. However, it felt a bit dated, as the horror created wasn't particularly shocking. They were, however, inventive and creative, as was evident from the film's opening credits.

A film that actually consists of three separate parts. The quality seems to be the same. There isn't really one that stands out. They all have something to offer. The first two deal with forbidden love, and the last one is more about a tattoo artist searching for inspiration.

Not terribly bad, but it's not all that great. It's fun to see it once. The acting, as mentioned here, is caricatural and theatrical, which could be a turn-off.
