Hotaru plot
After a hectic period, Ayoko decides to return to her native village to see her grandmother again after many years, but she dies just before she arrives. Once she returns to her hometown, her sister turns out to have an incurable form of cancer. Together with her friend Daiji, she tries to cope with the setbacks and to enter a new phase in their lives.
