The Devil Thumbs a Ride plot
"He'll kill until he dies!"
Steve Morgan, who has just committed a murder, gets a lift to Los Angeles on his escape route from unwitting politician Jimmy "Fergie" Ferguson. Fergie also takes two young hitchhikers at a gas station. When the party approaches a police roadblock, Morgan takes over from Fergie. Morgan convinces his fellow passengers to spend the night together in an abandoned beach house. The next day the house is found to be surrounded by the police and the group begins to realize that Morgan is a murderer.
