Hallucinant and disorienting film, where the direction occasionally makes some mistakes. It was difficult for me to pay attention, but despite all the shortcomings it was still worth it.

I still find such a carnival fascinating and an excellent breeding ground for evil. A bunch of freaks, a lot of questionable attractions that make you wonder if you'll ever get out alive and the addicted, pedophile clown who does it with the three-legged lady. At least, that's the image I have of it. Unfortunately, Speeth is unable to deliver it convincingly.

Because the above things are indeed in the film. The intro is quite interesting with a small tour of the site where we visit various attractions. The freaks are also present, although not as diverse as I had hoped or was later done in American Horror Story, for example. The biggest problem is that the whole thing feels like a mess. Chaotic. Amateurish. From heel to branch. It was difficult to maintain continuous attention and that says a lot for a film that is barely 45 minutes long.

Visually the film is still nice at times, but that says a lot. It indeed sometimes feels like an LSD trip, although I think it is better to take the real stuff. The special effects, including the blood in particular, were also mediocre. There are better and dirtier scenes, but unfortunately they are among the outtakes. Pretty vague stuff too with those cannibals underground, or better said, just zombies that walked out of Night of the Living Dead. As Stephen Thrower says in the introduction, it is enjoyable for people who do not need a story and are not bothered by a low budget. But he forgot to tell: also ignore the amateurism and the messy script.

What a strangely chaotic horror work this is, full of nasty characters who actually play meaningless roles. Location is good, but as far as horror and story are concerned, it is a nobody. Very vaguely developed, no tension and it all seems very cheap. 2/10
