The bol.com link of this movie is not really correct. You get to see a box set with all seasons of Dexter...

Well, I have to think a bit about what I can say about this film. It is a special, difficult to classify print. I think the best description is crime/thriller.

Julie (played by Rosemary Dexter) goes in search of Lucas's killer and is quickly thrown from one strange situation to another. She receives the hospitality of Gerda (Alida Valli) and the perverted friendship of Frank (Adolfo Celi). As a result, she ends up in Gerda's villa, where even more strange figures live. Julie must find the truth in this chaos.

Rosemary Dexter's acting isn't bad, she only comes across as unbelievable with the plot twist, but that's also partly due to the absurdity of the twist and the English dub (which isn't too good here and there). Alida Valli and Adolfo Celi also play convincing characters.

The camera work is sometimes a bit trippy and the sequence during the plot twist comes across as screaming. Separate choices that do manage to make the viewing experience more interesting.

But the film is not perfect, so I lacked a bit of tension. Now I don't think it was Caiano's intention to create it, but I would have thought it appropriate.

And then the twist, yes, it's completely different. The Freudian posturing is unconvincing and makes the ending seem a bit rude.

But enough nagging: in general this film is quite a separate and therefore also entertaining viewing experience. I just have no idea to which audience I can recommend this film. Perhaps more of a film for the real Italo lovers(?)

I'm a little afraid that I've already seen the most interesting giallo titles. A few doubts here and there, like this one. We have a number of suspects again, but they are all staying in the same luxury villa. Kind of the classy decadent milieu in which our heroine is looking for her boyfriend, whom she saw murdered in a dream. I prefer them a little more off the street.

Some interesting things, so no guns and pistols are involved, but we finish everything with knives and a harpoon. Transgender added for some shock value. LSD was also hip around that time. Well-known Bond villain is still around. Tiny roll of a young Sybil Dunning. A small thirty-year-old actor who has to pass for an orphan (a strange characteristic also with those Italians). Very slow pace. A bit nice in terms of kills, but too chic and too much that we already saw in other genre relatives.

Peculiar, bizarre story in which the puzzle pieces don't seem to fit because of the unexpected twist at the end. It seems a bit unbelievable and weird. Not so much the killer, but the fact of the set-up and actions of the various characters in the luxury villa and that Julie happens to be there ??? comes, form a labyrinth for the viewer. Rosemary Dexter as Julie plays a convincing role and can often be seen naked. Adolfo Celi as the perverted older man Frank is cast in his role.

In addition, some weird characters and there is also a small role for Sybil Danning who can also be seen naked. Separate video! 6/10
