"The Carolyn Raeburn Story is based on a true story."
The intelligent and popular Laura can start university at the age of sixteen. But that summer, her life and that of her family changes forever. When she wants to learn how to ride a horse, she meets Marty Fowler at the ranch. The woman soon has a major influence on Laura and completely brainwashes her. Laura decides to say goodbye to her parents and start a life on the ranch. Carolyn, Laura's mother, spends five years trying to get her daughter out of Marty's grasp.
