No bullshit from neat, tidy parents. They have an unimaginable dislike for the frumpy disco types with their weak slippery music that rule their neighborhood and at school. Rock hard, have a joint and play the beast, that's real life! That's what the gabbers Jam, Hawk, Lex and Trip think. It goes without saying that their parents and the school board are not exactly happy with the 'deviant' behavior of the boys. But then again, when their biggest idols, the roughest rock band of all time KISS, are on tour, they naturally do everything they can to follow the concert of their heroes from the first rank. The mobilized morale knights from the neighborhood naturally try to thwart the plans...

Nice entertaining film with very good music throughout the film!
As a rock lover I really enjoyed it, I even heard Thin Lizzy a few times with a slightly sped up version of Jailbreak and Boys Are Back In Town.
It was good to hear that a lot of music has been cut to make it suitable for the film, sometimes a bit sloppy but I was not annoyed by it, the film had well chosen music anyway!
I also really liked the ending, we finally get to see Kiss with a performance that they have imitated from the 70s
In short: Entertaining film with nice characters and well chosen music!

Nice film in which four friends do everything they can to see Kiss live. A simple story set in 1978 with a fitting and fine soundtrack. The humor is nice and thick and the entertaining situations in which the boys find themselves follow each other at a brisk pace, making this film easy to watch. Not really good, but very nice.

"Kiss will never make a disco record!!" At least co-producer Gene Simmons has humor.
Sometimes quite funny comedy about 4 friends and their attempts to get to a Kiss concert. Actually I prefer to see something like "Over the Edge" same target audience, but with a bit more social commentary and rebellion, this is actually more Beavis & Butthead. But well almost 50% of the jokes are nicely done.
Nice soundtrack with also The Ramones, Cheap Trick, Van Halen and The Runaways and even the wrong songs are quite fun.
