In her last years, actress, singer and icon Marlène Dietrich led an extremely secluded life in her Paris apartment. Once she was no longer able to appear on stage or in front of the cameras as a perfect version of herself, she opted for complete invisibility. In the meantime, however, she did not lose her interest in the world: she kept a finger on the pulse of current events by telephone, letters and newspapers.
