Le Nouveau plot
Benoit's first week in his new college doesn't go as he'd hoped. He is mistreated by Charles' gang, the popular boys, and the only students who show some sympathy are also not to his liking. Fortunately, there's Johanna, a beautiful Swedish girl whom Benoit befriends and eventually falls in love with. But unfortunately she too seeks more and more rapprochement with Charles's gang. On the advice of his uncle, Benoit throws a party and invites the whole class. The chance to become popular and find Johanna again.

Watched it with no expectations and really enjoyed it. A nice story that will certainly not get boring due to the short playing time. The cast also did a great job and the film looked good.
I don't really have any bad points about this movie, it's worth seeing.

Do you think you know exactly how the story is going to go? Forget it, because children are not stereotypes and this authentic, heartwarming drama makes it clear that every child has flaws and that children can cope with and forget adversity with each other's support. Good for a laugh and a tear and Rosenberg deserves a lot of credit for the perfect performance of this young cast. One of the best teen films of the decade.
