The Retrievers plot

"Sometimes it takes man's best friend to show what it really means to be a family."

The Lowry family, father Tom, mother Karen and children Liz and Widdy, move from the city to the village of Placerville. Soon after their arrival, they are adopted by the highly intelligent and beautiful vagrant golden retriever Pilot. Then they discover that Pilot is pregnant. After their birth, the puppies are admired by the children, but Tom soon makes it clear that they are not allowed to keep the puppies.
