The artist Sjon Hamilton has had enough of chaotic New York and leaves with his unenthusiastic wife Linda for the countryside to make paintings of children playing in the woods. Linda does not survive the adventure and the locals suspect Sjon of shady practices. Was he the man who bought cement from the local cement farmer? Was he the man who ransacked his own house? All that remains for him are the children playing in the forest.
