The Last Shot plot
After a long search, director/script writer Steven Shats finally finds someone who wants to finance his film. What Steven doesn't know, however, is that the financier, Joe Divine, is actually an FBI agent working to expose a group of criminals. Coincidentally, the criminals are also involved in the making of the film, and through Steven the FBI wants to expose the group of criminals. Based on a true story.

A very amusing film that, fortunately, doesn't take itself too seriously every now and then. For a long time, it seemed as though Devine actually wanted to trade his FBI life for that of a film producer, but unfortunately, that is not the case. It probably would have made for a better ending. A simple but entertaining story, solid acting, a good pace, and enough comedic situations make for an enjoyable viewing experience.

A mediocre film in which an FBI agent poses as a film producer to put a mafia member behind bars. A fun story (partly based on true events). Quite entertaining in places, but as a satire on Hollywood, it lacks sharpness. It really could have been better. A cast consisting entirely of famous names, with Toni Collette having the funniest role. Just shy of 3.0 stars.
