Mike McCoy is the lead singer of a band that occasionally does some car racing. Life does not get any easier for Mike when he is suddenly seduced by three women. One is the drummer of his own band, the second is the daughter of a millionaire and the third is a writer of books about men. Who will he choose?

Yes, mono. Still, my upscaled DVD looked excellent. Nice use of color too.
In any case, it is time for the entire collection of Elvis pulp (apart from a handful of good films) to be released on BluRay. Now only two films have received that honor.
Once again the story has nothing to it, but the songs are quite nice. With 'Am I Ready' as the highlight. A high Disney content and rather stale humor and yet everything is easy to digest without it becoming annoying.
A nice detail is that 'The Memphis Mafia' pushes Elvis' car to the final race. Red West is beaten up in many Elvis videos, but had never seen the rest of his bodyguards before.
One of the king's better nonsense films.

Reasonable Elvis average film. His band's songs were fun. The story is, as usual, very thin but entertaining. Only at the end the film is a bit annoying and not exactly fun. 2.5.

I really enjoyed watching this. It is a kind of time capsule that captures the innocence and fun of the sixties just before the hippie era arrives. The few parties are stylized and fun. At a certain point the instrumental music goes on for a very long time as if it were a jam. With Elvis banging on the rhythm guitar. The entire cast also looks beautifully stylized.
The storyline is cleverly written and leaves room for the necessary humour. This is a good professionally shot comedy. Moreover, the songs are also of a good pop/easy listening level. There are also more than enough action scenes with the racing cars. Part of the fun. Easy listening and easy watching this.
