Rancher Lavery becomes increasingly convinced that itinerant cowboy Choya is his son, kidnapped 25 years ago. In reality, Choya is a criminal, who teams up with T. Jefferson Leffingwell to take Lavery from his ranch. Choya questions his plan with Leffingwell when he experiences the familial affection of Lavery's daughter Ruth and her grandmother Mrs "mother" Lavery, which he has missed all his life. In addition, Choya feels uncomfortable when he falls in love with Ruth. One day, Choya has had enough of his masquerade and makes a confession. Then Choya goes in search of rancher Lavery's real son.
