Ha, wonderful cult film that does not disappoint. I doubt this is the film with the most blood, screaming and nudity, as the Psychotronic Video Guide claims, but it's all there.

While watching I thought of Andre Rouvoet for a moment. Suppose that poor man accidentally saw this movie...

In short, if you have difficulty with The Exorcist, you certainly don't have to start with this.

Fantastic nuns too. It made me think a bit about mummies.

Excess is harmful. And I'm especially talking about the screaming and shouting that never ended. I don't think there is any film where the scream content is as high as in this blasphemous "horror film" by Moctezuma, which I only heard about for the first time yesterday. That's why I couldn't get really enthusiastic about this film, which did contain a few very nice nude scenes, but otherwise didn't offer much. This film did not shock me in the least. Films in which the Roman Catholic Church was ridiculed may have been provocative in 1975, but they now seem very dated to me. I could hardly call this film a horror film - more of a comedy - and I thought the acting was absolutely terrible.

Not bad. Its rather hysterical character is what makes this film more interesting than its peers. Especially the last fifteen minutes are quite intoxicating thanks to the constant screaming and screeching. I wouldn't be surprised if a Zulawski or Fukui ever saw this film. Unfortunately, there are also some more boring parts, especially all the religious fuss was not always interesting. But otherwise one of the more interesting horrors from the 70s. 3*.
