Au Plus Près du Soleil plot
Sophie, a judge, interrogates Juliette one day about facts of abuse towards her lover. After investigating, she realizes that the suspect is the biological mother of the child she has adopted. Sophie isn't going to stop there and don't leave this woman alone. However, Olivier, her husband, disapproves of her attitude and begins an affair with Juliette without revealing his identity to her. But the young woman discovers that Olivier is Sophie's husband. She doesn't understand what he's looking for and he can't tell her the truth.

Given the title, I expected an “Icarus” story, but it is an intertwined drama about the mutual relationships of people, each of whom has a hidden agenda. Director Angelo is apparently a lover of close-ups. That can provide extra accents if necessary, but if you exaggerate it adds little on balance. An entertaining film, but not very special.
