Jud Süß plot

This infamous Nazi film, commissioned by Reich Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels, is about the historical figure Joseph Süß Oppenheimer, nicknamed 'Jud Süss', who was the financial adviser to the corrupt Duke of Württemberg in the eighteenth century. In the National Socialist costume drama, Jud Süss possesses all the stereotypical anti-Semitic character traits: unreliable, cowardly, greedy, lustful, brutal and conspiratorial.
