Deutschland im Herbst plot
Covers the atmosphere in Germany in the late 1970s. During 2 months in 1977, a number of people are followed during a businessman's kidnapping by the left-wing radical group Rote Armee Faction. Later the man is murdered. He was held hostage in an attempt to release the three leaders of the RAF (also known as the Baader-Meinhof group). The hostage situation fails and an attempt to hijack an aircraft is also prevented. The three prominent RAF members Andreas Baader, Gudrun Enslin, and Jean-Carl Raspe all commit suicide.
