Sokout plot
The nice boy Khorshid lives alone with his mother in a village in Tajikistan. There he is taken by the girl Nadereh to an instrument maker, where he works as a tuner. Nadereh is his eyes, for Korshid is blind. The sounds from the world around him are both his beacons and dangerous enticements. Khorshid hears so intensely that during the trip to work he has to put something in his ears so as not to get distracted and get lost. It seems as if everyone in their hometown is busy with music. From small to large, kettles are drummed and stringed instruments are plucked, with the result that Khorshid is late for work every day and threatens to be fired. The latter would mean that he and his mother would end up on the street, because their landlord is a culture barbarian who only thinks about his money.
