Pretty mediocre.

Despite the fact that the film really improves in a number of areas compared to parts I and II, this is clearly the worst film in the Blade trilogy. Strange, but also predictable. But I did have some faith in it after the opening.

Opening was good, nice and spectacular with good action. Funny bits and a Snipes who was doing very well as an action hero. Unfortunately, Snipes didn't get as much fun as it did in the opening, in fact, it seemed like he wasn't starring anymore.

The action is a bit quieter and less chaotic. However, each movement still contains a lot of clipping, you have to consider how restless the previous parts were. This does give more overview and there is more room for a kick, but it does show how mediocre the action heroes are.

Despite the fact that Snipes is still fun, and Reynolds provides the light-hearted tone, Biel still falls through the basket. She looks nice and doesn't do bad, but as an action heroine she just isn't good. Obviously bad at fighting and not a really cool look out there.

Camera use is a bit more energetic at times and the sets are nice, but the action, after the opening, is quite mediocre. It shows how broke most people are at fighting. Purcell was especially bad at fighting for such a legendary figure.

But beyond the action heroes, there are even bigger jammers, the villains. What a theatrical mess. Terribly acted (Posey) and terribly boring characters. It never comes across as a vampire or villain, rather as complete morons in strange clothes.

However, it surprisingly looks nicer than the previous parts, and the action is actually a bit more fun to follow. Visually it is all a bit better, despite the fact that the effects often remain a bit wooden. But Goyer definitely raises the visual level.

The rest is just mediocre.

This film is a bit disappointing when reviewed. There is no spice in this film, Snipes was already tired of the Blade films. The team doesn't stick together and the enemy is a joke. Too bad, because it could have been a nice ending to the trilogy. I am a fan of Blade, but the series deserved a better goodbye.

Clearly the least of the three. Where the previous parts were mainly a one-two punch between Blade and Whistler, now a whole team is added. Ryan Reynolds was funny for once, but Blade isn't really a series that needs all those jokes. The story is a bit meh, but still good enough. Entertained me again.

Wesley Snipes has put down a fantastic Blade. As far as I'm concerned, Wesley is Snipes Blade. It will be hard to accept another actor in this role when the inevitable reboot finally arrives.
