Spasi i Sokhrani plot

A very imaginative and sensitive wife of a doctor in a small village in a remote province in Russia, wants to bring some life to her boring existence. She should not expect anything from her husband. She goes in search of adventure and has sex with almost the entire male population of the village. Her sexual excesses eventually degenerate into madness. The story is loosely based on "Madame Bovary".
