Tight thriller with a comic twist. Perhaps it all seems a bit shabby these days, you could call it bad and naughty and it does have a bit of American (B) feel here and there, but it has just about everything that makes these kinds of films attractive. It's exciting, funny, rude and sexy, has some striking headlines and also has a decent pace.

The tone is immediately set at a gas station, after which the hostage situation immediately begins. Although, apart from the soldiers, there is little to complain about the cast, Hidde Maas stands out. Strong rendition of a first-class bastard. Not only that, he also spits out all kinds of tough and witty one-liners. Together with the baby responsible for the best moments in the film.

The corpulent Dukes of Hazzard sheriff may seem a bit funny (plus for his country tune), but it is exciting when he arrives at the farm. Nice guy who also fits in with the exploitation atmosphere that Wildschut evokes. There are quite a few things to note, but that is the deciding factor. Hard, shameless and delivered with a lot of dedication, it is simply a cool film.

Heard of it many times, but never seen it before. A fine Dutch-Belgian production of a hostage situation by two seasoned gangsters. That Jim, in particular, seemed more like a deadly psychopath with no empathy or feelings. The language of threats and violence is all he knew.

What a bizarre decor interpretation of those paratroopers on maneuvers. Meaningless and adding nothing to the entire plot. Perhaps extra extras were needed? Despite the harshness, you can certainly detect comic elements such as the sheriff who was a caricature in itself.

Hidde Maas actually does well as a genuine gangster. Annick Christiaans was a beautiful thing, but found her otherwise unconvincing. Nice supporting roles for Chris Lomme, Hans De Munter and Ronny Waterschoot.

came across this at night of netflix gape among undercover suggestions similar to that. but I think this is much better than the swearing and yelling of that ferry. . lovely all those old fashioned items everywhere. I just missed a lot of whirling banknotes at the end after that explosion

It also becomes even more fun if you turn on the Dutch subtitles with ods.

give me a lot more of that old glory on that netflix!!
