Christine plot
In Vienna at the beginning of the 20th century, a romance develops between Franz (Delon) and Christine (Schneider). Franz also paid attention to a baroness. The baron now challenges Frans to a duel, although there is no reason for this anymore, because the attention has already disappeared.

Franz has a secret forbidden romance with a Baroness, but it is clear from the start that this is not true love.
Then Franz meets Christine (a much younger woman) and after a rough start, love develops between the two.
Now Franz must find a dignified way to end his affair with the baroness. The baroness's husband, however, suspects his wife of being unfaithful and demands a duel.
You could see this as a Sissi clone but that is a bit far-fetched because the story is essentially about adultery and the love games between the sexes, moreover the ending is a lot more dramatic than the Sissi series would ever dare to do.
