Laundry plot

As a child, 20-year-old Teru suffered brain damage as a result of a fall into a well, which has left him mentally retarded ever since. Teru is cared for by his grandmother, who makes him work in her laundromat, where his job is to keep an eye out for women's underwear being stolen. One day, Mizue enters the laundromat. Mizue faces personal problems as a result of a badly ended relationship, and finds comfort in Teru's childish naivety and honesty.
