"Fate can change in seconds."

A young lad, who has clearly looked too deeply into the glass, drives home in the evening through the rustic American town of Middleton. Then a loud bang - the car is hit by something. The clock on the dashboard indicates that it is 11:14 am. At the same time, in Middleton, more things are happening at the exact same time. Four things to be exact, and none of them can stand the light of day. There's the convenience store clerk (Swank), who wants to keep her endangered job at all costs. Meanwhile, the exceptionally rebellious and rather raunchy teenager Cheri (Leigh Cook) is turning the whole village upside down. And a respectable villager (Swayze) gives his own interpretation of the term 'overprotective father'.

Good thriller, in which a number of violent incidents intertwine in an ingenious way. An artfully constructed mosaic film, which, in spite of the absurd episodes and coincidences, produces an exciting whole, partly because the story – as it turns out – is told from back to front and all the corners of the veil are gradually lifted.

Nicely given, I like the idea, story lines that run into each other, but somehow I was still a bit hungry, I lacked real tension and the humor was not my thing, all this film did more harm than good. Definitely going to give it a second viewing. For now a 6/10.

What a beautifully put together movie this was. We see all kinds of stories with characters intersecting at some point, all around 11:14 AM. The actors were convincing and in particular the role/story of Patrick Swayze was also funny. The movie looked good. I thought this was more of a crime/drama than a thriller.

3.5 stars.
