The Chairman plot
"If the Red Chinese don't kill him... a computer in London will!"
The Chinese government has succeeded in developing a precious enzyme that allows crops to grow in any climate. Wanting to duplicate the enzyme, the Americans, with the help of the Russians, send scientist John Hathaway to China to steal the formula. During this dangerous mission, Hathaway only communicates with his clients through a transmitter implanted in his skull. In China, the scientist is on his own, because only the mysterious Chang Shou can come to his aid in dire need. What Hathaway doesn't know is that the implant in his skull contains explosives so the government can take him out if he fails.
