"THEY LOVE..AS AN EMPIRE ROCKS!"
Set in 18th century England, Lloyd's of London tells the story of Jonathan Blake, who, as a young boy, gets an internship at the renowned insurance company. Growing into a grown man, we see him as an enterprising scoundrel who falls in love with his rival's aristocratic wife, eventually leading to a duel with him for her love. In his further adventures, Blake introduces the telegraph to Lloyd's and is captured in France by Napoleon's troops. Later, his brazen risky behavior helps the English win the war with the French.
