Atari: Game Over plot
"Truth is stranger than legend..."
The documentary Atari: Game Over gives an insight into how it all really started with the breakthrough of the Atari 2600, with games like Outlaw, Space War, Breakout, Yars' Revenge and Breakout. Statues and protagonists from that time pass by. Also the myth is unraveled of the demise of Atari from 1983, where the flop of the game ET would be the reason. Millions of cartridges of this game are said to have been dumped in a garbage dump somewhere in the United States. A group of archaeologists set out on a search. The myth is unraveled.
