"Victor Hugo's Immortal Classic!"
The famous story of Victor Hugo about the thief Jean Valjean. Jean steals a loaf of bread and gets caught. Because he keeps trying to escape from prison, his sentence is up to life. One day he manages to escape. Jean finds shelter with a cleric. In return, he steals his silver candlesticks. After many years, Jean has worked hard to become mayor of a small town. His quiet life is disrupted by the arrival of police officer Javert. After all, he still knows him from prison. Jean is once again on the run, chased by a dogged Javert.
