Popoz plot
Ivo and Randy are two avid police detectives. And crazy about American action movies. As a result, they react just a bit more fiercely and faster than the average Dutch cop. When they, together with their intern Coco, get involved in a large-scale police action without being asked, they go completely out of their league. As a result, many people are killed and injured in a hail of bullets and blood. They end up in prison and come into contact with Mercator, a ruthless criminal with an adjustable fist.

Mediocre comedy. I have to say, I never felt the need to watch the series on Comedy Central. I recently saw the movie on Netflix and decided to give it a try. Ultimately, that turned out to be a bad move. Popoz is reasonably funny at times but often misses the mark. Dumb jokes are fine, but they have to be delivered in a fun way.
Huub Smit is actually the funniest. Of course, his role in New Kids probably helped. The quality is essentially the same. Although I think Smit is better in New Kids. It's nice to see some actors like Pierre Bokma and Leo Alkemade. And of course, the busty ladies shouldn't be forgotten. A Dutch film is nothing without sex and boobs...
Besides the fact that the film is very crude and bland, there's little else to say. I didn't expect anything less from this film. In my opinion, it's actually not that bad. This is a film so mediocre that I have to struggle to find anything meaningful to say about it.

Crude, lame but sometimes entertaining.
Popoz is pretty much what I expected from the trailer, a bit better, but oh well. I always appreciate a bit of crude humor, and don't get me wrong, I laughed my head off at times. I always enjoy watching Huub Smit.
Unfortunately, there are also some very bland and annoying characters. The whole movie is actually a bit rubbish. I've never seen the series, so that might be it, but oh well. A bit bland and delightfully crude. (Plus points for Tilia 
).
In short, not really recommended. But if you really want to see it, it's fine. I didn't think it was that bad.

What I like to see in a good comedy is that they still take themselves seriously, which makes situations infinitely funnier. Unless you really veer towards the dry side, like Airplane! or Naked Gun. But not like this film, which is so over-the-top that it's often just plain unfunny. And then I can't do much with it, even as simple popcorn entertainment because I see the film as a gimmick. Then 90 minutes is simply too long, and it's not really my taste, and usually not my humor either. 1.0*
