Ashani Sanket plot
Gangacharan starts a school in a Bengali village around 1942. During the Second World War, the price of rice rises and the village has hardly anything to eat. Everyone revolts when businessmen rip off the villagers too. Gangacharan survives by using his teaching talents, but becomes engulfed in the chaos around him.
